A Helping Hand for the Mark Grubb Family

In shock and disbelief, Mark and Nancy got a call from the doctor’s office after a series of labs tests were done. They got the news that no one ever thinks they are going to hear. Cancer. And as it turned out, Stage 3 bladder cancer.
After the shock, they pulled it together and began their fight. Mark endured four months of intense, strong chemotherapy. Nancy had began her battle; taking care of her husband, her children, and her household. The paperwork began. Mark could no longer work. Social Security Disability was applied for. Massive stress on this family.
They stayed positive. Endured. Pushed on.
Then, on Monday, March 11th, Mark had to be taken to the hospital via ambulance for severe back pain. As they did a scan for this, they found not only had the chemotherapy not worked, the cancer had spread to his spine, a mass pushing on his back causing extreme pain for Mark. How could this be? The cancer progressed during chemo. Another great shock for this family. Mark is now under hospice care.
Mark has worked construction most of his life, providing for his wife Nancy and their kids. He is a navy Veteran, serving his country proudly. Unfortunately, there is no life insurance.
So many people have been reaching out and asking “how can I help? And so I thought by launching this Go Fund Me page, those who wanted could help the family with the financial support needed for funeral and related expenses. By contributing, we will be able to give his family the ability to grieve without the financial burden weighing on their minds.
