A Furever Home for Aleu and Wade

Aleu is an 10-month old husky mix. Her dad, Wade, picked her up while staying in Colorado. Due to circumstances beyond his control, Wade lost his job, and the two of them spent a cold Colorado winter living in a car. They returned to Pennsylvania, penniless, and still living in the car.
Laurie, from The Wellness Center for Pets and Their People, stepped in to help. Laurie was able to move Aleu to a kennel where she could have a safe place to live, other dogs to play with, and room to run around. The Wellness Center has been paying for Aleu's care at the kennel for the past 6 weeks, and it's getting expensive to stay there. The contract for Aleu is for 2 months, and we're getting close to that deadline. The fee for that time will be $600.
In addition, we're looking to get Aleu spayed, which will cost $200-250.
The Wellness Center for Pets and Their People is a small organization, with little funds. With this fundraiser, we're hoping to raise the amount that they'll be spending on Aleu's care.
At this time, Wade is working hard to raise money, trying to get a place for himself and Aleu, but he's still living in his car. The ultimate goal would be a safe, permanent home for Wade and Aleu. However, that goal remains a little far off...
At this time, we're raising money for Aleu's current care and vet care, as well as what it will cost to keep her in the kennel for the additional weeks or even months while Wade is trying to create a home for them.
Aleu is a beautiful young dog who deserves a permanent home, with the only dad she's ever known.
Wade is a kind and loving dad to his dog, who is working hard to raise himself out of homelessness.
Together, they need a chance to find permanency, and unfortunately, the only way to get them there is money.
The money from this fundraiser will go primarily to pay for vet care and kennel fees for Aleu while Wade is working to get a home for them.
Any additional funds will go towards paying a security deposit on a safe home for them.
