A fight for Hannah

$9,000 of $9,000 goal

Raised by 172 people in 9 months
My sweet 6-year-old niece, Hannah (pictured front and center in the photo) started a fight today after receiving the news that she had been diagnosed with leukemia.

She is a vibrant little girl who can battle with the best of them and we are all gathering to stand in faith and fight alongside her in prayer.

With her treatments beginning Monday, my sister, Amber will be pulled from work for extended amounts of time and being the only income for their household right now, she's going to need support for bills and added expenses. Asking you all to pray about supporting Amber and her family as Hannah walks through this battle, a battle we're believing she will win.

Thank you.

Hello everyone!

A full update on our Hannah: She has reached remission and treatments are going very well. We are so thankful. She has lost some hair, but wears a "cute purple hat" to cover it and she's taking it like a champ.

I will be withdrawing the funds raised into my account to disperse to my sister, Amber for financial assistance with medical and daily needs as Hannah's treatments continue.

We still have a long road ahead, but so thankful for God's goodness and that Hannah will soon come out of this challenge. Thank you all again for your prayers, words of encouragement and support.

You are so loved and appreciated more than you know. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Day 2: Hannah had a long day, and a bit of a rough evening with breathing troubles and another fever, but during the night everything seemed to level out. She is doing much better this morning, eating and playing a little. The pain and swelling (in her ankles) seem to have gone down a little as well.

Day 1: Today Hannah underwent a day of procedures, including spinal tap, bone marrow and the insertion of an IV port.

The port insertion procedure caused a bit of internal bleeding, which doctors believe was caused by nicking an artery. They are monitoring it closely and are optimistic that it won't create further issue.

Amber was walked through the full treatment details today and told due to the light dose of chemotherapy, the side effects shouldn't be too severe, just some nausea and the possibility of thinning hair.

The beauty in all of this is the shared optimism among all involved. Hannah's nurses are full of hope and we are so thankful for all those speaking life into an otherwise unknown situation.

God will see glory through this and we remain filled with hope.

Good morning,

Today is the official start to Hannah's treatment. She will undergo a spinal tap and give a bone marrow sample today, in addition to starting her first round of medication.

Please pray that her body handles the treatment well and that her fever will stay away.

We're hopeful and can't thank you all enough for supporting and loving our family with such generous hearts.
