A Family Tragedy: Mother of 4 Dies in a Crash

We are raising money to help one of our beloved teachers from the Bucktown location, Miss Ely Perez, who has recently lost her sister in a tragic motorcycle accident.

Ely’s sister, Jessica Martinez, was killed on November 10, 2019 at the hands of a teenage driver recklessly making an illegal U-turn on the highway near Gainesville, Florida. Miss Martinez left behind 4 young children, ages 18, 13, 8 and 5.

Miss Ely and her family are absolutely devastated by such a sudden loss of their loved one, and are struggling to cover unexpected funeral costs. While the family is trying to figure out the future of the 4 orphans, Ely, who is a single mother of 2 herself, will also need financial assistance to relocate her sister’s kids and keep them together during this heart-breaking time.
