A Cure for Catherine!

Hello! There is a beautiful, smart and loving woman named Catherine King who has breast cancer. This type of cancer is very aggressive. It is called HER2-positive and is locally advanced, which means it is in the lymph nodes. HER2-positive breast cancer affects approximately 15-20% of patients and is a particularly aggressive form of the disease, which is more likely to spread and recur. Catherine requires expensive treatments, including one chemo therapy drug called Perjeta, which costs $20 000 (not covered by OHIP or Insurance). She is the loving wife of Ryan, and mother of two exceptional girls. She is a devoted teacher in Durham. Please help raise enough money to cover the treatment, and to assist her and her family with this added stress. Catherine will be off work for a year, and on a reduced income. Thank you so very much!
