Welcome to A Book Fund for Kids 2017, sponsored by the College Crusade Alumni Association.
We hope you will help us purchase books for 80 middle-school students in The College Crusade of Rhode Island’s yearlong ReadAbout literacy program for 6th and 7th graders.
All the young students in ReadAbout hope to go to college someday. They know they need to be good readers. So they invest their time on Saturdays and go to a literacy program designed especially for them. Their program started in October 2016 and finishes in April 2017. That’s a lot of Saturdays. They get up early and ride a bus to class. Then they spend hours reading, building vocabulary, making new friends, and talking about books and stories.
With your help, they will be able to have their very own book to take home on the last day of class.
Please join us to raise the funds to purchase enough books and give the gift of reading to these dedicated young students. Your contribution really matters. Thank you!
