A Big Hearted Man Needs A New Heart

Darnell is a 39 year old man who was born with a bad heart. Nothing was ever done for him and it is finally catching up with him. His heart is failing. It is having a hard time pumping blood through his body. It takes everything out of him just to walk from the hospital bed to the bathroom. He has been approved to have surgery for a pump to help circulate the blood and he has been approved for a heart transplant. That will only happen if one becomes available of course. 
Darnell does not do drugs or drink alcohol. His heart is just shutting down. Recovery is at least three months. He HAS to stay with friends and family in a single story home. No stairs. The doctors will not do the surgery if he does not have their specific criteria met. Friends and family offer the emotional and social support he needs to heal. We are trying to fly his mother in from Maine to take care of him. They will both need a place to stay for the length of the recovery. La Jolla is where he needs to stay, and it can be a little pricey for temporary housing. Can you please help for expenses to cover his recovery time?
