Greetings,
My name is Chris Lawson and I would like to welcome you to my fundraising page. I have received a lot of questions and comments from people about my plans to release a project and how they can help in that process. Well, I have good news, this page is dedicated to that purpose.
There are several songs that have been in me for the past 3 years. They have become my prayers and my personal cries to God. I believe that with these songs, God has given me a sound to release into the earth, for this time.
I have been given something to say. I have been given a song to sing. And I believe that my assignment is to record an album containing these songs.
The project is going to be entitiled 'Christ Over Everything'. Christ is the name above every name. He is King above every king. He is the Lord above every lord, to the glory of God the Father. He is my desire over everything else. And these songs are aimed in that direction; declaring who Christ is and my dependence and desire for Him.
(Ephesians 1:19-23, Philippians 2:9-11, Colossians 1:15-20)
I want this project to be made in excellence but in order to do that I need help. Making a record is not an easy or inexpensive task. There are generous amounts of time and money that go into such an endeavor. I cannot do this in my own strength but I am going to need all the support that I can get in order to see this through to the very end.
This is where you come in!
I'm aiming to raise $25,000 in the next three months, for all costs in producing this record. This amount will cover production fees, studio time, musicians fees, singers fees, mixing, mastering, photography, graphic design, marketing, duplication, and miscellaneous costs that go into making this project.
Someone I trust recently told me this quote, "the execution is on you, but the outcome is on God". This is my step of faith in seeing this come to pass and I believe that God will take care of the rest and make up the difference. I don't know what God will do with this, all I know is that I have been given this assignment and I want to be obedient in completing it.
