Yoga and Animal Rights Alliance aligns the practice of yoga with animal rights activism offering retreats in connection with animal sanctuaries. I will be heading to Thailand to the Elephant Nature Park and Dog Rescue in January and want to adopt two dogs, bring them to Portland and find good loving homes for them here in the states.
Last year I volunteered for a week at ENP and I adopted two dogs. Griffin lives with me and I found a wonderful home for Mumma Flo. Both Dogs among 100's who had been rescued from the flooding that occured in Bangkok a few years ago. They had been taken care of at the ENP dog rescue for two years, well taken care of, and in the best conditions possible, but that meant being in small areas with 6-9 other dogs and only getting a short walk by a stranger every so often.
Now they are walked daily and loved by longstanding human friends.
I want to give this chance to more dogs from The ENP Dog rescue. Will you help me?
It costs up to $600 for the adoption and transport of the dogs. They will be flown into Seattle so I willhave to drive up there. It will take some time to establish who will adopt them, so I need to consider food and supplies.
So I am asking for the support of $1500 to cover costs.
The power we can find in community is incredible and The dogs I bring home will thoroughly enjoy the love and care they will receive. I would be ever grateful if you could help me with this task. I will do the grunt work, I promise!
