Our dear friends, Yoav and Dania, have hit upon hard times recently. After struggling for almost 2 years with various health issues making it difficult for him to work, it was finally made clear that Yoav’s symptoms are due to mold toxicity from their San Francisco home. Dania has also developed symptoms affecting her health and well-being.

The past few weeks have been filled with doctor appointments, treatments/medications, second opinions, legal advice, and settling in to their temporary space. They have been advised to get rid of most of their belongings and that it is in their best interest not return to their San Francisco home.

After a couple weeks of couch surfing, friends graciously offered Yoav, Dania, and their pup a place to stay until July.

If you know these two, you know that they would give you the shirts off their backs. They are two of the kindest, gentlest souls you will ever meet. The medical bills are piling up, and they don’t know where they will end up when it’s all said and done. Please consider making a donation to help them deal with all of this.

Here is a partial list of immediate expenses:

*Doctor $7000 so far
*Medication: $1700 so far
*Lawyer: $1325 so far
*Vet: $370
*Air purifier: $477
*Both cars detailed ($500 each)
*New home in the Bay Area, move in cost: $8,000
*Replace ALL belongings: ?? $25,000 ??

We want to thank our friends and family for the tremendous outpouring of generosity shared with us over the past 4 months. During this very trying time we felt more love and positivity then we imagined would be possible. Together you all helped us climb out of a very dark place back into the light and we are forever grateful. We are so humbled by the amount of support we received. It can be very difficult to accept help or even accept the fact that we need help, but your loving kindness guided us to a place of grateful acceptance.

Our life has changed an incredible amount over the past few months and these very positive changes were in every way fueled by your love and caring. Thank you so much for being there for us. Our community helped us in so many ways by donating funds, clothing, homes, trips and places to rest and recover, your time and unconditional love. We want to share with you some of our happy updates so you can see what you helped create! So, here’s your Christmas card in August!

We left the “mold house” and all of its contents exactly 4 months ago. Two amazing families provided housing for us from April to August. We moved into our own place in San Francisco August 1st thanks to another friend’s connection.

Our health is improving. We are both feeling much better. This is perhaps most obvious if you have a chance to see Yoav! Dania’s symptoms have also greatly diminished. We will continue with our protocols as the detox process takes many months. Our doctor is awesome and we are getting excellent care. Luck Dragon is doing just fine and still loves long walks on the beach.

Yoav has a fantastic new job he really loves coaching high performance juniors and is growing his own San Francisco based tennis business. Dania was promoted to a new role in the Clinical Nutrition Department at Stanford and will presenting her textbook chapter at a conference in Nashville this November.

There is a lawsuit in progress. We were advised this will take at least a year, if not longer, but we have a good case.

A very special thank you to Adina and Adam for organizing the "Break the Mold" GoFundMe and their endless love and support. We will be taking down the GoFundMe campaign now as it has served its purpose and then some. We truly consider this experience a rebirth. We are stronger in every way. Thank you for seeing us through!!!

With infinite amounts of gratitude and love,
Dania, Yoav, and Luck Dragon
