YANELLY ORELLANA'S Medical fund

Hola everyone! My name is Yanelly Orellana and this is my story. What has transpired over this past month is something I could have never imagined, something I would never wish upon anyone. On November 22nd, 2017 at 11:26 AM, I received the news I had been dreading for the past week, a result I knew was coming but was too afraid to admit to myself as a possibility, I was diagnosed with metastatic stage 2 invasive ductal carcinoma (IDC) or better known as breast cancer. But this not just any old breast cancer, I was triple negative on the biopsy, typically the most aggressive kind. To say I was shocked is an understatement. “How could this happen?”, I would ask myself. “ I am only 27, I have no family history of not only breast cancer but cancer in general”. Surely this must be a joke, a nightmare I can’t seem to wake up from. Unfortunately, it is indeed real. Reality began to settle in, but there was still so much unknown, “who do I see? How am I going to like my doctor?” but what wasn’t ever a question, “am I going to survive?”, With the power of Christ, I knew that I was going to be in good hands, I was going to be a cancer survivor, I was going to thrive. After several weeks of appointments with specialists, with my treatment plan changing what seemed like daily, appears to be finalized. God willing, I will be undergoing my first of eight rounds of chemotherapy on December 14th. 2017, followed by a double mastectomy in late April or early May, after which I will have thirty rounds of radiation to kill any remaining cancer cells within the body. Unfortunately, this premium health care comes with a significant cost. If you can spare something, anything at all, it would be greatly appreciated. I want to first thank you all for your generous support through these difficult times ahead. God bless.
