We are setting up this GoFundMe page on behalf of Officer First Class Michael Macri and his family. Mike is a police officer who was injured in the line of duty on October 5, 2016 in Annapolis Maryland. He was responding lights and siren to a shots fired call; when he was involved in a horrible motor vehicle accident. Please help this very deserving family in any way you can. On October 5, 2016 Officer Macri was involved in a horrible motor vehicle accident while in duty. Officer Macri sustained a broken neck, traumatic brain injury, nerve damage, two herniated discs in his lower back, and a torn labrum.
Officer Macri was responding lights and siren to a shots fired call. Thankfully, most drivers did as they should and pulled over out of his way. Unfortunately, one on coming driver made a critical error and turned in front of his police car. Due to his quick thinking and training, was able to avoid harming the driver but in turn was very badly injured himself. Lucky for Officer Macri (aka Mac Meathead), he is a very physically fit person; and that big ol neck of his probably saved his life!!!
Officer Macri has a long road of recovery ahead of him. We are lucky to still have him with us. Officer Macri has spent 9 years serving and protecting the community. It's our turn as a community to help Officer Macri and his family as they battle the road to recovery. All donations will go directly to the Macri family.
