Help DalO Grow!
Now we are moving towards our next step, this is Where you come in!
Processing collected waste requires the construction of a waste processing facility.
We are raising funds, ideally $35,000 USD, to build out an operational and revenue generating waste processing facility. This will demonstrate the feasibility of our full business model. With our current customer count, we would be processing 13 tons of waste and producing about 2 tons of fertilizer per month. Once we get to 2,000 customers we would process 40 tons of waste and produce 5 tons of fertilizer per month.
Every ton of Organic compost fertilizer we produce means giving 5 farmers 200 kg of organic compost fertilizer. The average small holder farmer uses less 10 kg of fertilizer per hectare.
I believe in the mission of DalO--to improve public health, create jobs, and increase fertilizer access by providing a reliable and professional waste management service to the approximately 200,000 individuals that call Kankan, Guinea home and the over 20 million individuals who live in secondary cities across West Africa. Our mission is one I've committed the last few years of my life to and intend to stick through until we develop a sustainable model for waste management .
It's my life's work.
Any amount--no matter how small--will be immensely appreciated. I thank you all so much for your support and hope to have more great news to share with you while in Geneva.
Great news! We won the Gold Award at MassChallenge!
It has been said that 80% of success is showing up. If this is true, 100% of this achievement is thanks to you. Every contribution made it possible for us to be present, learn, and hone the messaging around Dechets a l'Or.
Thanks to your very generous support we won a prize that would enable us to purchase two additional trucks, repair our current truck, and expand to serve over 2,000 customers within the next 3 months.
Thank you so very much for all your support and encouragement!
Ayo and the DalO Team
Thanks for all the love and encouragement on our @MassChallenge final 12 selection.
Our campaign is still live--I'm trying to cover the cost related to getting through to the 16th when we learn the results. I will travel to Kankan for Oct 27th to Nov 14th and then head back to Switzerland. Hopefully, we will have some good news for you on Nov 16th!
Any contribution would be greatly appreciated and helpful!
Thanks again, Ayo

Its been several weeks since I've posted. My failure to post has been a result of all the activities going on here!
We are a month into the program, while we are rethinking how we present DalO, the team in Guinea is chugging along, and our collections numbers are improving.
We've been working around the pitch deck. If you're interested in seeing what the present iteration look like, please let us know, any feedback would be appreciated.
We are also knocking on every possible door we can to see about securing 3 - 5 truck through donations. Obviously, if we win the prize here we will have another option. But ideally, we win the price and still receive 5 trucks as an in-kind donation.
Thanks for your time and support! Keep checking in with us via facebook, twitter, or instagram to see whats going on.
Please share with your friends and network, Remind them that any support, no matter how small is helpful and appreciated!
Congrats Ayo on the Gold Award and the expansion of your fleet! May the Anchestors continue to guide you on your journey.
