Hundreds and hundreds of people online and off know our girl - Wallace Mulligan. She's inspired hundreds of girls with her weekly YouTube video show (Wallace Mulligan), chit-chatted with Katy Perry and RuPaul, assistant directed a musical and brought grace, charm and creativity into all our lives. Now she needs us all, the collective humanity she's touched.
Wallace suffers from severe mental health troubles. Her story is, unfortunately, all too common in the life of today's teen girl, starting at earlier and earlier ages. Wallace has asked specific details be left out, but we can say without hesitation, her slide into depths heretofore unknown to our family has terrified us deeply. Her life is on the line. We can say with conviction and confidence that more time in the facility will make the difference between more time with Wallace in our lives and none.
Wallace's health benefits have run out, and her insurance company is looking to force her out of the BEST care she's received to date. All the people involved, doctors, parents, advisers and friends, agree - she needs more time to heal.
If you help Wallace today with a donation, she'll be able to stay in treatment until she's ready to more appropriately move to the next step. It's a simple equation: every $2200 we raise equals one more day's stay. Her insurance will let her stay until Friday; after that we start paying out-of-pocket.
