Thanks to all who made this year the extraordinary success it was. All of your donations and support made it possible for me to celebrate my 60th birthday along with my first solo exhibition - all in the same week! It's now time to bid a fond farewell to Virginia and get this show on the road.

An example of extreme recycling/repurposing: My house in the mountains of eastern Oregon. The gingerbread and architectural trim came from A DIFFERENT house I tore down. Yes. Really. (If you look closely you'll see a witch coming out of that chimney. Couldn't get back on the roof until spring!)

So many people encouraged me throughout the process of getting this show built ... and then hung! George  @ salvageupcycle.com was especially helpful and made this video! Every piece is from repurposed materials - over a hundred quilts, windows, paintings & prairie dresses, displayed on five floors. An interview about my process and inspiration is here  along with my bio.

My EBay auction  is happening now. The show is bundled. 


As many of you know I'm returning to the Pacific Northwest to first renovate a bus (in the works already?!) and come spring, cohorts and I will be tramping around looking for land for an intentional community .  Already an astounding number of people have expressed an interest in being involved in this project including inquiries into TIMESHARES! which I hadn't thought of. Perhaps you'd like to sign up for my newsletter  and keep up with the progress?! Living smaller is our future and I am grateful to be alive in a time when I can use my creativity, tenacity and vision in such innovative ways.
