Water Cooler for Nephews' School
Donation protected
Few months now after the devastating forces of Hurricane Irma caused severe damages in 70% of the Island of Sint Marteen in the Caribbean, life still not back to 'normal'...
Much progress can be assessed in
re-building, however many people still struggling to get homes in habitable conditions.
My brother Juan Ricardo, his wife Dania and their 2 boys, Miguel (11) and Juan Diego (7), live in the island and have endured many difficulties. However their resilient and generous spirit has driven them to get involved with the re-construction efforts in their immediate community.
Juan had noticed the school lacks a source of water for the kids and bottle water becomes an added expense for families.
He came up with the idea of collecting funds for 1 or 2 water coolers for their kids school - Martin Luther King Elementary.
Clean Drinking water .....we all take it for granted ! But when the weather is a balmy 100 degrees in the shade... it is vital ...! I truly hope you all can contribute !!!
The School families, Juan and Dania's family and my own, will forever be grateful!!
