Victoria's fight for Orkambi

Donation protected
Victoria, 15 is the daughter of a friend of mine.  She was diagnosed as an infant with Cystic Fibrosis. Cystic Fibrosis (C.F.) is a hereditary disorder that causes the production of thick mucus which blocks the lungs resulting in respitory infections. As I write this she is once again in Sick Children's hospital in Toronto.

Victoria is a brave young girl that had recently advocated at Queens park for herself and others living with  Cystic Fibrosis. Currently there is no cure for C.F.  Orkambi is a drug that has been clinically proven to improve lung function and  reduce infection. Unfortunately this medication is not covered by OHIP and a year supply costs approximately 250,000.  Victoria is asking the Ontario government to negotiate with Vertex, the drug company to lower the cost of the medication.

As long as she can, Victoria will continue to advocate for those suffering with C.F. But for now she needs your help.  Any donation would be greatly appreciated to help with the costs of the medication she desperately needs, or costs related to her care.
