Veronika's Open Hearth Surgery

Our princess, Veronika was born on November 13.2018. Before the delivery, she was diagnosed with Trisomy 21, also known as Down Syndrome. For us, young parents, it was a shocking and devastating news after which it was really hard to get up. Doctors with cold blood told us about the health condition of our daughter and about the decisions we have to make at the time. Our decision was to fight for Veronika, who despite such a short time, gave us joy, love that can not be described in words and changed our life forever. We can not imagine an hour, a day, a life without her. Unfortunately, an open heart surgery is also associated with the diagnosis that has been presented to us. Atrioventricular Septal Defect (AVSD) is a heart defect that can only be cured by surgery. The operation will take place in one of the best hospitals in United States, Lurie Children Hospital in Chicago. Meeting with surgeons was not pleasant and certainly not easy but it could not be avoided. Shortly, Veronika will undergo an operation where doctors and surgeons will do everything in their power to allow our daughter to live a healthy life. As a father and head of the family, I do everything to ensure our emotional and financial security. Unfortunately, that type of operations are terribly expensive and despite all efforts we are not able to bear such a huge financial burden. I realize that I have to keep my head clear and make adult and wise decisions, that's why I write to people with a good heart to help us save Veronika's health and her small heart. Emotional stress and financial burden are two different concepts but unfortunately we can not escape from them. Support from loved ones and the family we receive is very helpful but unfortunately not enough to help pay the bills associated with the operation. I hardly ask you for your financial support which will help us in saving the health of our daughter Veronika and focus on her further therapies that will be mandatory. Przed porodem została zdiagnozowana z Trisomy 21, znaną również jako Zespół Downa. Dla nas, młodych rodziców, była to szokująca wiadomość i ogromny cios po którym ciężko było nam się pozbierać. Lekarze z zimną krwią mówili do nas o stanie zdrowia maszej córki i o decyzjach jakie możemy za wczasu podjąć. Decyzją naszą była i jest walka o wspaniałą Veronikę, która mimo tak krótkiego czasu, dała nam radość, miłość której nie da się opisać słowami oraz odmieniła nasze życie na zawsze. Nie wyobrażamy sobie godziny, dnia, życia bez niej. Niestety z diagnozą która została nam przedstawiona wiąże się również operacja na otwartym sercu. Atrioventricular Septal Defect (AVSD) jest wadą serca, którą można wyleczyć tylko drogą chirurgiczną. Operacja odbędzie się w jednym z najlepszych szpitali w stanach, Lurie Children Hospital w Chicago. Spotkanie z chirurgami nie było przyjemne i z pewnością nie należało do łatwych ale było nie do uniknięcia. W krótce Veronika zostanie poddana operacji gdzie lekarze, chirurdzy będą robić wszystko co w ich mocy, by nasza córeczka mogła zdrowo żyć. Jako ojciec i głowa rodziny, robię wszystko co w mojej mocy by zapewnić nam bezpieczeństwo emocjonalne jak i finansowe. Niestety operacje takiego przekroju są strasznie kosztowne i mimo wszelkich starań nie jesteśmy w stanie udźwignąć tak wielkiego ciężaru finansowego. Zdaje sobie sprawę z tego iż muszę zachować świeży umysł i podejmować dorosłe i przemyślane decyzje, dlatego też pisze do ludzi o dobrym sercu by pomogli nam w ratowaniu serduszka, zdrowia naszej Veroniki. Ciężar emocjonalny jak i ciężar finansowy to dwa różne pojęcia ale niestety nie da się przed nimi uciec. Wsparcie bliskich, rodziny które otrzymujemy jest bardzo pomocne lecz niestety nie na tyle by pomóc opłacić rachunki zwiazane z operacją. Z trudnością zwracam się o pomoc do was o wsparcie finansowe, które bardzo pomoże nam w ratowaniu zdrowia naszej córeczki Veroniki oraz na skupieniu się na jej dalszych terapiach które będą obowiązkowe.
