On February 8, 2017 Todd Verdonck passed away in his sleep at 42 years old, suddenly and unexpectedly. Todd leaves behind his beautiful wife, Keri and cherished 6 year old son, Cole. He is also survived by his brother Scott and his mother and father, Paula and Bob Verdonck.

Todd was born and raised in North Reading, attended North Reading High School, Class of 1992 and graduated from Saint Anselm College, class of 1996. Todd battled cancer in his twenties and was in full remission, but always remained especially proud to have been a cancer survivor. From this experience, Todd realized the importance of living each day to the fullest. After college, in 2009 Todd married the love of his life, Keri, where they settled down with a home of their own in their beloved town of North Reading. Todd worked as a sales manager at Zix Corporation in Burlington, and Keri teaches AP biology at North Reading High School. Todd was a proud member of the North Reading Diamond Baseball Club and loved coaching his son’s Little League team. Todd loved to make people laugh, and participated frequently in amateur standup comedy as a hobby for many years. He also loved all Boston sports so it was especially fitting that the last game he watched with his wife and son was the Patriots, in their legendary Super Bowl win.

Todd will be missed tremendously by his family. Keri and Cole now face an unimaginably difficult time in the weeks and months ahead. The hope is that the community they love so much, can offer them its generous support so that they may grieve this loss without the additional burden of financial uncertainty.
