Before we even knew each other or were married, we both knew that our someday-family would include at least one child that was adopted. Giving a good home and love to a child in need is our shared hearts' desire. As Christians, we have been adopted into God's family and believe that adoption is a core Biblical principle. So when we adopt we will be following the example God set for us. We know that there is a child that is meant to be in our home and meant for us to parent, love and raise to know Jesus.

We currently live and work overseas in West Africa and our adoption journey began in 2012. Living overseas means that everything takes longer and this has been the case with our adoption journey as well. In 2012 we had been pursuing an adoption from Ghana, but during our process the country closed it's doors to foreign adoptions. After a year of praying and waiting to see where God led us, we were pointed in the direction of Burundi and right away God provided us with confirmation that this was where our children would be. Again our process has taken far longer than we ever anticipated, but we know God is faithful!

We are hoping to adopt a sibling group from Burundi, a small country in southern Africa. We don't know yet what our children look like or what their names are, but we are beyond excited and beyond ready for our family to be together!

While our long term adoption costs are much greater, we currently need $5000 in order to submit our dossier for two children and we are hoping to be able to submit our paperwork by the beginning of March!
