Ever since my youth, I was the target of bullies. People treated me as an idiot because I didn’t always pick up on things right away. It did not help that our financial status was all my peers and some of my teachers could see. The only ones in school who did not have a prominent name in the area. Nobodies.
The constant bullying took such a toll on me that it took me until fourth grade to master my multiplication tables. This might come sooner, but when my main bully found out I had a tutor, the bullying became worse. So, I stopped going.
Beaten down at every turn and not just by bullies, family, supposed friends, discouraged to even try. Whatever career field I wanted to go into, someone was there to discourage me from going or stop me all together.
Recently, I was ACCEPTED at Columbia College Chicago! The Tuition is 23,000 Per Year but my overall goal is to raise the full amount for my Bachelor's of Fine Arts. That is: $96,000.
