2014 VCU Photography BFA Show
With your support, we hope to raise enough to money to not only secure a beautiful space to show the work we're so proud of, but to make the opening night a real success.
To do this, we need funds to produce promotional materials and tailor the space to accommodate our unique collection of work, among countless other details that go into putting on a show of this size. We are zeroing in on several potential spaces in Richmond to house our show, but want to choose carefully. After all, this is the culmination of four years of dedication to an artistic practice we believe in.
We want visitors to leave our show inspired, and a crucial step to accomplishing that goal is to provide a stimulating space to present our work. We are searching for a gallery space that is not only big enough to appropriately showcase 30 artists' work, but which also complements the diversity of our class' work - a diversity that includes an extensive range of media including still, video, sound and sculpture.
Funds raised will also go toward our portfolio review day in just three short weeks. We have invited artists, curators and academics to provide feedback on our work. While we can't pay them for their generosity, we would like to provide them with food and beverages throughout the afternoon of critiquing student work.
Though we anticipate unforeseen challenges along the way, we have each spent four years learning to creatively solve problems. With your support, we are confident we can put on a great show.
Checks may also be made payable to "VCU Senior Photo" and sent to 1222 W Cary St, Richmond VA 23220
