Well now you've done it. You managed to stumble your way onto a TUBA FUNDRAISER website. If you feel too weak in constitution to deal with such madness, feel free to turn back now and cleanse your thoughts by listening to some flute (or other similarly high pitched) music. Should you dare to continue on then good luck to you, Sir or Madam...
As I have made my way through a life of professional performing and teaching, many tubas have come and gone in my life. With a certain amount of sadness I admit that I sold my beloved Miraphone 188 CC tuba! At the time it made sense–I wasn't really playing it and could use the money. But now I long for the deep, velvety tones of the CC tuba, not to mention my playing is going back in that direction. And that's why I'm here!
I am asking (nay, pleading) for some kind and deep-pocketed souls to help support my endeavor to purchase a new instrument. This instrument will become a central part of my performances and allow me to continue to grow and achieve my musical goals. Being a professional musician is my life's work. Unfortunately that work doesn't always pay the greatest. How often do you have the opportunity to help a needy and misguided professional tuba player!?
Your help is very much appreciated, and I plan to recognize each donor in my campaign. A shout out on social media, a "thank you" listing on my website, or a personal performance. Or maybe something else! Who knows!!
