Trinity College Food Recovery
Food Recovery Network at Trinity College is now in its second year of operation. We have donated over 3,000 pounds of food from Mather Dining Hall to the Mckinney Shelter in Hartford, Connecticut. While we provide dinners on the weekends, we do not want to stop there, because the shelter is in need of more.
75% of donations will help us provide more meals, and expand our program to serving breakfast at Mckinney Shelter. The money will also help us improve our equipment, so that we can transport more food.
25% of all donations will go to the National Food Recovery Network. National Food Recovery Network staff is working tiredlessly to spread their mission across the country.
All donations are truly appreciated from the Trinity College Food Recovery Team. We have come a long way in "Fighting Waste and Feeding People", but this Thanksgiving season please keep us in your thoughts as we try to continue our efforts in helping others.
Thank you very much,
Doug Curtin and the Food Recovery Team
