Jackie Rios, Travel Abroad!

A Philly native with Colombian roots, Jackie Rios is an amazing human being who brings joy and happiness to so many people around her. To know her, is to love her.
Jackie is a gifted photographer, graphic designer, dancer, self-taught nutritionist and lover of avocados and puns. She is a strong advocate for social justice in the city of Philadelphia where she has organized numerous events and actions.
Jackie is also a survivor. Throughout her life, she faced serious health conditions, including a battle with thyroid cancer in her 30s. In spite of these challenges, Jackie has remained positive, strong, optimistic, fun, compassionate, incredibly hard-working, independent and motivated to make this world (and her community) a better place.
For the past eight years, Jackie has been working full-time and studying at Drexel University. On August 26, 2016, six days after her 41st birthday, Jackie finished her last course towards her Bachelors Degree.
To mark this milestone, her beloved community has created this fundraiser to send Jackie on a well-deserved vacation. For several years, Jackie has wanted to travel outside of the US and we want to make that happen for her without her having to think about cost.
She deserves this and SO much more.
