Todos con Hector

Hola a todos 

Como algunos ya han de saber hace dos meses atrás nuestro querido Héctor empezó con  unos malestares fuertes de dolor de cabeza, mareos y vómito. Después de internarlo y tras practicarle  varios exámenes por casi una semana, le detectaron un tumor cerebral. Al cabo de pocos días el tumor empezó a dar molestias: la comunicación de Él empezó a ser más lenta, el ojo izquierdo lo cerraba dado que no tenía una visión muy clara, tenía problemas para caminar y ya no podía valerse por sí mismo.
 Para poder conocer con certeza su situación fue sometido a una operación el pasado 13 de julio. Gracias a Dios todo salió bien, pero desafortunadamente fue diagnosticado con un tumor cerebral de 5 cm, ubicado mayormente del lado izquierdo posterior del cerebro, el cual atraviesa la línea media del cerebro cruzando hacia el lado derecho y se confirmó el diagnóstico previamente determinado, un GLIOBLASTOMA MULTIFORME, tumor sumamente agresivo.
Dado la ubicación del tumor no es factible operarlo. No obstante, todos queremos a Héctor con nosotros y en las mejores condiciones pero necesitamos de su ayuda para poderle dar las mejores atenciones y los mejores tratamientos posibles.
Los tratamientos a seguir son sesiones de radioterapia y quimioterapia, no sabemos cuántas sesiones sean, adicional la medicación y complementos para contrarrestar los efectos secundarios que estos tratamientos traen consigo.
Adicional debe tomar corticoides y levetira para combatir la hinchazón del cerebro provocada por el tumor y evitar convulsiones.

Hi Everyone,
Some of you already know that two months ago our Dear Hector started feeling some headaches, dizziness and throwing up; After been admitted to the Hospital and practiced him several tests for almost a week, he was diagnosed with a brain tumor. Few days later the tumor started to bother him, his communication skills got slower, he kept his left eye closed because his vision got blurred, started to have problems walking and he couldn't be self-sufficient anymore.
To be able to get more clarification of his situation, he had to have a surgery last July 13, 2016,  thanks God everything went fine but unfortunatly the diagnostic was that he has a brain tumor which size is 5cm, located on the up left side of his brain that goes through the middle line of his brain to the right, the tumor's name is GLIOBASTOMA MULTIFORME, a very aggressive tumor.
Due to the tumor's position, it is not viable to operate him; However, we all want Hector with us and with the best terms possible throughout this stage but we need your help to provide him the best care and treatments possible.
The treatments to follow are Radiotherapy and Chemotherapy, we do not know for how long nor how many yet. In addtion,  he also needs medication that counteract with the side effects that this treatments will cause him. He also needs to take Corticosteroids and Levetiractam to fight the swelling of his brain caused by the tumor and to avoid seizures.
