Hola soy Rosana Celis, vivo en Miami y mi hermano Sergio está pasando un momento muy difícil.
Sergio Celis fue diagnosticado con cáncer de cavidad oral en marzo de 2016 y luego de dos cirugías de extracción del tumor y reconstrucción mandibular, practicadas en julio de 2016 y enero de 2018, respectivamente, el cáncer ha vuelto y no perdemos la esperanza de que Sergio gane la lucha contra esta enfermedad.
El 05 de diciembre de 2018, luego de varios días con dolores muy fuertes Sergio acude al médico, el cual toma una muestra lingual para biopsia.
El 08 de diciembre llegó un resultado poco alentador: carcinoma de células escamosas moderadamente diferenciado ulcerado.
Al recibir este diagnóstico, Sergio fue informado por el cirujano oncólogo de que debía practicarse una cirugía de extracción y reconstrucción inmediata con colgajo de pectoral mayor.
Sergio necesita tu ayuda y la de todos para impedir que el cáncer infiltre nuevos tejidos haciendo metástasis y practicando la cirugía podrá lograrlo.
Sergio con la inspiración de su padre violinista, comienza a practicar violin desde su infancia y producto de esa vocación y desempeño de alto nivel, hoy es considerado uno de los maestros violinistas más importantes en Venezuela y Latinoamérica.
Hoy forma parte de los músicos fundadores del Sistema de Orquestas Juveniles e Infantiles de Venezuela, donde siempre estuvo acompañado por el maestro José Antonio Abreu y de su mentor, el maestro José Francisco del Castillo.
Con su método de enseñanza, Sergio ha trabajado incansablemente para lograr que niños de zonas populares de Venezuela vean una oportunidad de superación en la música y no en la violencia, pero además, ha sido parte del esfuerzo de cientos de músicos para que Venezuela sea reconocido como uno de los núcleos musicales más importantes del mundo.
Hoy se destaca, aun con sus fuertes dolores y molestias en la cavidad oral, como profesor de concertinos de la Academia Latinoamericana de Violin y del Sistema de Orquestas Juveniles e Infantiles de Venezuela, formando grandes talentos internacionales.
Sergio ha ayudado a muchos y hoy necesita de todo tu apoyo y solidaridad para superar el cáncer.
El dinero recaudado se utilizará para medicamentos, suplementos alimenticios, análisis de laboratorio y pagos de cirugía. La cirugía se realizará entre la segunda y tercera semana de enero de 2019.
El dinero que no sea utilizado será donado a pacientes venezolanos con cáncer de cavidad oral.

Hello, I'm Rosana Celis, I live in Miami. My brother, Sergio Celis, is going through a difficult time.
Sergio Celis was diagnosed with oral cavity cancer on March 2016 and after two surgeries of tumor removal and facial reconstruction, made on July 2016 and January 2017, respectively, cancer has returned and we don't lose hope that Sergio will win the fight against this disease.
On December 5th, 2018, after many days with very strong pain, Sergio went to the physician and he took a lingual tissue sample for biopsy.
On December 8th, a not very encouraging results of the biopsy arrived: squamous cell carcinoma moderately differentiated ulcerated.
Upon receiving this diagnosis, Sergio was informed by the oncologist surgeon that immediate extraction and reconstruction surgery should be performed with a pectoralis major flap.
Sergio needs your help and that from everyone to practice his surgery and prevent cancer from infiltrating new tissues by metastasizing.
Sergio, with the inspiration of his violinist father, begins to practice violin from his childhood and product of that vocation and high level performance, today he is considered one of the most important violinist teachers in Venezuela and Latin America.
Today he is part of the founding musicians of the National System of Children and Youth Orchestras of Venezuela, where he was always accompanied by maestro José Antonio Abreu and his mentor, maestro José Francisco del Castillo.
With his teaching method, Sergio has worked tirelessly to let children from popular areas of Venezuela see an opportunity in the music and not in violence, but also, has been part of the effort of hundreds of musicians to position Venezuela as one of the most important musical epicenters in the world. Today he stands out, even with his strong pains and discomforts in the oral cavity, as professor of concertinos of the Latin American Violin Academy and National System of Children and Youth Orchestras of Venezuela, forming greats international talents.
Sergio has helped many and today needs all your support and solidarity to overcome cancer.
The money raised will be used for medicines, food supplements, laboratory tests and surgery payments. The surgery will be performed between the second and third week of January 2019.
Surplus money will be donated to venezuelan patients with oral cavity cancer.
