My Thoreauvian Earth-Friendly Dream

Hi! My name is GeorgeAnna, I am a senior in high school, and for years it has been my dream to not be a burden. Not financially, not ecologically, and I feel part of the solution involves building an extremely low-impact home without incurring any debt. After years of planning, I feel that an earthbag dome (see link ) with an efficient rocket-stove and a self-sufficient garden is my dream! Right now I have a part-time job to earn money, but am still looking to outside funds to cover transportation ($23 per train ride, $175 per moving van) and the cost of having the land surveyed. If I can raise enough to cover these costs, then I will take a year off before college to make this dream happen ASAP, which I would love. (This has to be decided before June) If not, I will develop it over the course of my four years of college vacations. (My future school offers a Winter Term in which we can choose our own projects. Combined with Summer vacation, that gives me 4.5 months a year to build.) While I will be ETERNALLY GRATEFUL (Earthbag domes' durability allows them to last generations, so potentially my progeny will also be very grateful) in either case, an uninterrupted year dedicated to building would be superb. As the project progresses, I will update my blog with pictures, information, and scientific and mathematical building applications. While I am in school, the property will be available to my mother and other artists as a free studio space. Thank you so much, amazing people.
