The Dolphins Swim Club

The Dolphins Swim Club is a competitive age-group swim team that competes in the Empire State Swim League (ESSL) as well as in USA Swimming, the National Governing Body for the sport of swimming in the United States. Within  USA Swimming, we are a member of the Metropolitan Swimming Conference.

Our Mission is to create an enjoyable atmosphere conducive to learning every aspect of the sport of swimming while developing good sportsmanship and dedication ,which can help swimmers in other aspects of their lives, to become positive and well rounded people.

Being a Dolphin swimmer means more than simply training and swimming fast. You are part of a family that will support  and encourage you do to your best.

We are a non-profit club which is run by a Board of Directors who meet twice a month. All families are asked to be active members of the Dolphins Family by volunteering at various events and fundraising activities.

Swimming is a lifelong sport, that not only promotes health and fitness, but also fosters strong leadership and mentoring skills. It encourages dedication and commitment as well as teamwork and cooperation

Several of our swimmers go on to earn scholarships for college , and continue to swim and compete at the collegiate level. Many alumni return to The Dolphins Swim Club to volunteer their time to coach or serve as board members.

This is why we truly believe we are more than a swim club,  we are a family.

On January 17th, 2018. The Dolphins will be holding the  annual Lapathon Fund-raiser.  Proceeds raised at this event will be donated equally between Dolphins Swim Club and  Sparrow’s Nest of the Hudson Valley, a local charity that provides two meals, once a week, to the families of caregivers and children diagnosed with any type of cancer.

Swimmers, family members, friends , neighbors , co-workers, etc can donate a per lap amount or a flat donation for the event. Or maybe  you are an alumni, or swam on a local community, high school,  or college team. Or you simply just love the  lifelong sport of swimming. Your donations and support are appreciated as well. Just  because you don't live locally doesn't mean you can't support your favorite swimmer. You can donate online in honor of an individual swimmer, or to The Dolphins Swim Club as a whole.

We have set a goal of $5,000 this year. We hope we can present a local charity with a $2,500 check. The other $2,500 will greatly benifit our team to assist offsetting the costs for future swim meets , training sessions ,equipment and allowing our club to grow.

Who knows, with enough money raised we may even be able to buy our own pool!!!

Online donations will be accepted through April 1st, 2018

On behalf of the Dolphins "Family" we wish to thank you for any donation.
