The CAWS
Jasper came into our care after a Peace Officer had received a call about a stray dog.
After exhausting all possibilities, it was clear the Jasper's owner had abandoned him.
He was extremely emaciated, almost just skin and bones. His teeth were so rotten that he could not eat.
Upon intake, The CAWS saw that Jasper was a happy senior whose tail never stopped wagging, but we were very saddened by the true extent of his neglect and he received immediate veterinary care.
Jasper was neutered, vaccinated and received dental surgery. He lost 29 teeth, we just can't fathom the pain he must have endured.
8 weeks later, Jasper's mouth has healed and he is steadily gaining weight. His foster family love him dearly, and are very excited about his future in his new forever home.
