Our Happily Ever After - BenBen & Mandy

My name is Ben, I am 27, I am a Bartender born and bred in West London in the UK.

I’m creating this fundraiser in the hopes of some assistance toward the uniting of myself and my fiancé in holy matrimony. The complication lies in the fact that she is from and lives in the United States. Amanda and I have been in a long distance, serious and committed relationship for over 7 years now. After various attempts over the years trying to come to the UK as a visitor and facing difficulties due to not meeting some requirements (Mainly stemming from financial requirements), I have found myself instead travelling to her in America for terms of 3months each time (So far I have been able to visit 4 times). This is the only time we are able to physically spend with each other due to travel period restrictions and saving for each trip. But 7 years and only being able to hold one another, spend time with one another and just the feel the simple touch of each other for 1 year is unfair. We have decided that our relationship and our future together will benefit most if she were to come here to live with me and my family as my Wife.

I’m currently working a steady full time job, it isn’t the highest paid job in the world but it gets me by. After paying the required bills / rent to my parents (of whom I live with), travel to and from work and other necessary costs, I just don’t seem to make enough money to save on a regular basis. Making it increasingly difficult to save for the wedding aswell as the extensive costs and savings required for Amanda to be granted a fiancé VISA.

Although I am creating this fundraiser on behalf of our Wedding, the main reason I’m doing it is for my fiancé and her happiness. She deserves to be happy and to stand at the alter at my side.

I’ve never considered a fundraising project for a personal endeavour however I’ve been hit with the same comment from multiple people saying “What have you got to lose by giving it a try” which I suppose is true.

We aim to be reunited in each others arms as soon as April this year and hopefully the wedding will follow soon afterward, this is what our goal for the fundraiser will be.

Asking for money from anybody is hard to do as it is, whether they are Friends or Family let alone asking it from complete strangers who do not know us. However, after receiving some unexpected support from a generous benefactor (out of simply just the kindness in their heart) this gave me a nudge toward creating a GoFundMe.

To those who are willing to offer any kind of sum toward our goal it would mean the world to us. I mean really, any support given to our cause has more value than you know. Our marriage would lead us forward to a new Chapter in our lives that we have both always dreamed of. A dream where we could be together and see one another with our own eyes without the great measure of distance keeping us apart.

To extend our gratitude we will offer future updates such as whether or not the VISA application is successful. If we succeed in our goals of marriage we will keep anyone who requests it up to date with our wedding including photos which will reflect the happiness you have helped bring to us both.

Amanda and I would like to thank anybody in advance for any donations in hopes for our dreams to become reality. As Husband and Wife with our own happily ever after.
