TeamTogo Medical Field Clinics

Help Team Togo volunteers provide medical care  in Togo, Africa this August 2018! This is TeamTogo's 5th journey, having treated nearly 4000 patients already. Let's get the Togolese as much free medical care as we can, as the resources there are limited, and many locals skip the doctor for minor and even major health issues due to  poverty: many small health conditions become severe or life-threatening if left untreated.  Last year, we brought several emergency cases to the local hospitals from our field clinics and we had a wait list for surgery referrals. Life changing surgeries run a few hundred American dollars in Togo, rather than thousands.  Our goal is to raise money so we can afford surgery for the patients most urgently needing it, without the concern for Assist Africa's limited nonprofit funds. All donations are used directly for the cause, as our team members pay their own travel expenses and costs to volunteer- and none are paid for their efforts.  TeamTogo's staff  is focused on diabetes and blood pressure management, parasite and Malaria prevention and treatment, hearing restoration, as well as general preventative medical care this summer. Additionally, a portion of funding will go towards providing necessary medical supplies and equipment, as well as free multivitamins and medications for those in need.
