Young Robotics Engineers To Canada

Hallo iedereen! Zoals jullie waarschijnlijk al weten is Team Roboticus vorig jaar naar Japan geweest voor de wereldkampioenschap voetbal (mede dankzij RebelGroup Nederland!). Afgelopen zaterdag (7 april) hebben wij het RoboCup Soccer NK gewonnen in Nederland en zijn we dus eerste geworden. Omdat we nationaal kampioen zijn, vertegenwoordigen wij Nederland in Montreal, Canada in de strijd voor de wereldtitel!

Helaas hebben wij een probleem. We kunnen zo een reis niet zelfstandig permitteren. De school heeft voor Robotica een budget, maar door de kosten van het bouwen van de robots en het NK zelf, houden we heel weinig over. Een reis naar Montreal voor alleen maar de wedstrijden kost bijna €1900. Met de inschrijf- en logistieke kosten komt de reis voor ons team van 7 man heel duur uit: tussen de €12000 en €14000. Daarom zijn wij op zoek naar sponsoren.

We hopen alle teamleden mee te kunnen nemen naar Montreal en moeten dus een flink bedrag binnenhalen. Daarom is elk centje en alle hulp erg essentieel voor ons. Vergeet niet dat dit bericht delen ook zeker helpt!

Het wereldkampioenschap vindt plaats in juni. We hopen het geld iets eerder binnen te halen, zodat we de vliegtickets vroegtijdig kunnen boeken voor een lagere prijs.


De sponsoren kunnen een plek verwachten op onze nieuwe shirts en de robots. Het WK wordt wereldwijd uitgezonden en wordt live door duizenden mensen bekeken. De sponsor die het meest doneert, krijgt zeker weten de plek op de robot!

Als u besluit om te doneren, geeft u niet alleen een ticket naar Canada, maar ook een onvergetelijke ervaring aan jonge ambitieuze ingenieurs.

Hello there! Thanks for taking a look at our page. We are a young (age 16 to 19) group of robotics engineers called Team Roboticus and we need your help.

Roboticus has been around since 2008 and we've participated in (and won) many competitions since then. Usually we participate in the RoboCup and FirstLegoLeague. We have added a full list of achievements down below.

Recently we got the first place in a local Robotics competition in Delft. This earned us a spot in the RoboCup of 2018 in Montreal, Canada. You'll find a link to their website and promotional video below. In the competition we will be focusing on building a soccer team consisting of robots.

Unfortunately, we do not have the funds to cover transportation cost to and in Canada, accommodation and all things related to the competition itself. Usually the school we're connected to covers these costs, but this trip goes way over their current budget as well. Ideally we'd like to bring our entire team to Canada, but due to immense costs this would bring we would be happy to just raise enough for our core team to make it there.

So this brings us here. We're still in talks with several companies to get us a sponsorship that can potentially bring us to Canada as well. Since we aren't too sure about finding one, we are trying to focus some of our attention on this page as well. If we do find a sponsor we would like to offer a spot for their logo's on our t-shirts and our main sponsor will get a spot on our robot's mainframe.

If you'd like you can also get a spot on our t-shirts or robots. For the t-shirts we would like to see a minimum donation of 2000 EUR and whoever donates the largest amount will be on the robots.

The competition is on the 19th of june. We are aiming to get at least some of our goal a bit earlier so we can arrange plane tickets. Also, please do not be intimidated by the goal we set for this fundraiser. We set it at that number because at that point we can guarantee to cover all the costs that come with bringing all of our members to Canada. We could technically work with a much smaller number so all donations are welcome.

If you decide do to donate please understand that you're not only giving us tickets to Canada, but you're also giving a young team of ambitious engineers a chance at a once in a lifetime opportunity as well as amazing experiences for their future. We will gladly accept any amount. Thank you for your help!
