Daloa Library, Books for Africa

$1,010 of $50,000 goal

Raised by 10 people in 4 months

Welcome to our library at the Pastoral Institute in Daloa, Ivory Coast!

Imagine. Young ministers in West Africa and their families often go without food and other necessities to be able to afford attending bible school. For them to be able to find additional funds for literature is a luxury. Accessing evangelical Christian literature in French often requires purchasing and shipping from Europe or the United States.

Due to instability in the region and a lack of funding for newer resources and maintenance, the library has deteriorated. It is now time to renovate and rebuild to inspire the next generation of church leaders!

Most of this collection was acquired in the early 1980s. After more than 30 years, the books are very worn and dusty, "old" and falling apart. Some titles are still used but they need to be replaced with newer copies, and the majority of the collection needs to be developed further as there are gaps in subjects.

Room for more books!

Theological books for institute, university, and seminary graduate level training in French. Other biblical resources in French for the family are also welcome, such as children's bibles and Christian readers for children.

Additional funds will be used to repair student tables, desks, and equipment.

The director of the institute expressed that many pastors have been praying and hoping for improvements for more than 25 years!

Will you help us turn their dream into a reality?

In the next month... Our goal is $10,000. This will allow us to begin this project.

All donations minus the gofundme fees will go towards this project.

Wishlist: $50,000:
$10,000 - Building repairs and maintenance
$10,000 - Acquisition of books
$15,000 - Technology upgrades
$15,000 - Shipping, distribution, travel

How you can help. We appreciate any one-time or monthly gift you can give to help us with this project. Please feel free to share our campaign with others interested in helping. Revisit our campaign periodically to see our progress and share again.

THANK YOU. On behalf of all of the pastors and students training in the Ivory Coast, we say THANK YOU. "Que Dieu vous bénisse." May God bless you!
