Teach her to walk again
Meeting young PIRA: From the first time I met her I GOT A BIT CHOKED UP. Pira has a heart wrenching story that really moved a part of me that I never knew before.
When Pira was two, the bus she was on blew a tyre and rolled. Like most of us at that age she had no idea what was about to happen or how it would change her life. 19 people were badly injured and one person died in the incident.
Young Pira had both her legs ripped off and some gruesome intestinal wounds which almost took her. Pira is now Ten! It makes me sad to see that it has been 8 years and no One has been able to help this poor young girl get back to a normal way of living which she has missed out on without any fault on her part.
Pira's huge stomach injury has since healed but she currently walks on her knees and this is starting to cause really serious issues so we need to act fast.
A little bit abour Pira: At 10 years of age Pira is a bright young individual and ranked as one of the top students in her school. She is a very promising young student. She has a Big Heart and very Big dream in life and is determined to become a doctor one day.
I know this may be a little disturbing to read or even look at but we have been given the chance to truly make a difference in a beautiful bright young Girl's life and we really want to help her get closer to her dreams. Who knows maybe on day she will become the person who gives a ray of hope to thousands of other in the world. Thank you for your compassion and we highly appreciate everyone and anyone's support for Pira.
It gives me great pleasure to share this Awesome news with everyone today!!!. After over 6 months of challenges and playing the waiting game things have finally come together and our little champion Pira is able to walk again! Yayyyy...:D (Big cheesy smiles all round!) Words cannot express the gratitude I feel to be part of this process and we certainly wouldn't have got anywhere near this far if it wasn't for all your help and generous support. You are all LEGENDS!! Please feel free to pass on the amazing news. With out you our efforts would come to nothing!
To be honest I am completely overwhelmed to see the support and love that we have been blessed to share with little Pira.
Any extra support we receive will be focused on helping Pira with her schooling and any other improvements that will help her fulfil her dreams and improve her life.
Once again Please feel free to share these inspiring photo's!
This just proves to me that there is still a lot of real good in the world today and I am just humbled and grateful to be a small part of it...:) Thank you!!!
Got some more great new folks!! Hope the Christmas and New Years break has been a blessing to all.
Little Pira is on the mend! We have just received news and some really cool pic's showing how her operation has gone smoothly and she has recovered extremely well!
I know everyone has probably been waiting in anticipation to hear how far along we have come so I'm happy to post some more encouraging news and Pic's today. Once again thanks to all Pira's kind supporters. Without you we would never have made it this far.
I will continue to post as many updates as I can in the coming weeks and months. It will be so exciting when the team from Australian are finally ready to fit her new life on her legs and give her the gift of freedom and mobility again. Take care everyone and have a fantastic Febuary :D!!!

I'm Pleased to SHARE this Fantastic news - Pira is with John & the great John Fawcett team of specialists. Recent X rays showed that only one leg needs operating on. We are getting little Pira ready for her new legs. ;)
Surgery is happening now and it will be some months for this to heal. Moulds will be taken for Australian Prosthetic's experts who will later fly in to Bali to fit some high quality Prosthetic's.
Myself, Peter Honey & Michael John from NPO Projects.org really want to THANK YOU ALL so much - it is the energy and belief from so many that has made this great team effort happen for Pira. Thank you!!
