Gene was diagnosed with cancer in August 2017. He has undergone brain surgery, radiation, and chemotherapy and he is set to begin immunotherapy and more radiation in the next few weeks. Gene has been on leave from his job as a teacher this entire school year. He needs your assistance to help with the mounting medical expenses.
Gene is a retired Navy Flight Officer and was stationed in Pensacola, San Diego, Jacksonville, Norfolk and Naples, Italy. He worked as a high school teacher in Virginia Beach for 7 years and he has worked in DODEA schools in Seoul, Korea and Ramstein, Germany for the last 18 years. Regardless of where he is stationed, he always takes on an active role in local community organizations, including Boy Scouts and the Catholic Community and choir. He is a member of the Roadrunners wandering club and an avid guitar player who has taught guitar lessons for many years.
