Penn College Human Services students are teaming up with Family Promise of Lycoming County Inc. to benefit and bring awareness to local homelessness challenges. Come join us as we sleep out, raise money, and collect supplies to make a difference!
BE the difference! Do without that latte today and instead feed a child, provide a bus fare, a warm bed, and some good food.
As students enrolled in a Service Learning course at the college, we are pleased to be working with Family Promise in bringing awareness to the growing problem in Lycoming County.
Homelessness in Williamsport has been steadily rising over recent years due to the challenging economy our nation faces. In the face of these economic challenges, funding for organizations like Family Promise has been slashed year after year despite ever growing populations needing their services. Our event will benefit Family Promise and the families and children who need their support.
