Stephen D. Jones Memorial
Friends and family know Stephen as outgoing, adventurous, and completely devoted to his family. He is survived by his wife and two school-aged children.
I am Stephen's youngest brother. Please consider donating to this fund, all of which will be delivered to his widow to help her provide for their family.
Looking through the comments and names of donors, I'm deeply touched by the show of support. Many of you are friends of siblings, but never met Stephen.
Your donations and comments really do bring us comfort as we mourn our loss---because these, and other helpful acts of kindness, will help our dear sister-in-law, niece, and nephew. Again, thank you!
The family will receive visitors at the Probst Family Funeral Home (79 E Main St, Midway, UT) on Thursday, February 11, from 6:00pm to 7:30pm.
Interment will be at the Heber City Cemetery following the services.
As race director for the Tahoe 200 & Bigfoot 200, I have received condolences from around the world. I do hope that Stephen's family knows that he had a positive and lasting influence on countless people from all over the world. We hope that you can find some peace and we send our prayers and best wishes to his family in the name of the Stephen we knew, who loved every moment on the trail - both the highs and lows and most of all, the man who loved seeing others succeed all around him and who inspired all with his super-human feats of endurance. Thank you for sharing his light with us. As difficult as it must be right now, we share at least some of your pain and hope that you will reach out to the running community for anything at anytime, we are here for you, your family, and anyone who loved Stephen. We send you love, peace, and hope for your family from ours (the trail family who loves him).
