On March 9th 2015, unarmed veteran, Anthony "Tony" Hill was shot and killed by police in Atlanta, Georgia. Anthony was an amazing singer/songwriter who lived to spread the message of love, acceptance and positivity.
In October 2008, Tony enlisted in the United States Air Force. During his time of service, he served in the Middle East as part of Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan. Tony was awarded numerous decorations, medals, badges and campaign ribbons during his time of service, which included: Air Force Achievement Medal, Meritorious Unit Award with 1 Oak Leaf Cluster, Air Force Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Air Force Longevity Service and the Air Force Training Ribbon. When back in the states, Tony learned that he developed Bipolar and PTSD disorder. Although this hindered aspects of his life, he learned to love and accept hisself regardless and wanted to help others in his same situation.
Tony loved music and had aspirations of pursuing a career in music. He loved life and wanted to share his passion with others. He enjoyed singing, composing, producing and collaborating with other artists. He also shared his time freely with young children. His warm, friendly, caring presence will be missed by all those who knew and loved him.
Anthony moved to metro Atlanta in June of 2013. His artist name was changed from "AntHeezie" to "Antlanta" shortly after falling in love with the city. <3
Please consider donating to such a worthy cause. Half of the money that is raised will be donated to "The Boys and Girls Club of America." in Atlanta, GA. This is where Anthony wanted to volunteer at in the summer of 2015. The remainder of the donations will be put into a fund titled, "Sincerely, Anthony Hill", which will help children, teens and veterans with mental illnesses.
