Shortie-Hudson County Animal League

Hello, my name is Shortie. I'm a beautiful 9-year-old lady with thick, shiny black fur with a little tuft of white just below my neck. I'm very affectionate; all I ever wanted was someone to take me home and love me. I'm partial to candlelight dinners (or even without candlelight, as long as it's dinner) and being scratched behind the ears (aaah!). Give me these things and I'll love you forever.

 Unfortunately, I have a chronic digestive problem that the vets haven't been able to cure, and that makes a lot of nice adopters pass me by. The really great volunteers at the Hudson County Animal League (HCAL) have gone above and beyond over the years to try to get me pooping normally -- many vet visits, special diets, medications. Nothing has helped, but I know HCAL will never give up on me.

Most of HCAL rescues eventually find great homes, but sometimes they end up caring for someone like me who takes years to find that right person. And all of HCAL's rescues need to see a vet, no matter how sick or healthy. HCAL is an all-volunteer organization that depends completely on donations to pay vet bills and boarding for all the animals they rescue.

Please help HCAL continue to raise the funds it needs to help homeless animals like me.
