Financial Aid for Sheila & Irish

Donation protected
I am writing this on behalf of Daljit Sandhar and two wonderful women who were injured in a horrible way and have been left with permanent injuries both physical and mental and will be struggling for quite some time financially if no help is given.

Sheila Tancgay (38) and Irish Atibula (36) were heading home after their shift at work had ended at Mucho Burrito in Quarry Park, Calgary, Alberta. They were suddenly struck by a BMW that had jumped the curb throwing them across a lawn and into the wall of the building they had just come out of. This car and driver had been at a car show where they were showing off, stunting and racing cars (that's not legal). It is believed that this car was stunting, lost control and plowed into them. This is NOT right in any way, shape or form. They did NOT deserve this.

Sheila suffered a badly broken arm requiring 2 surgeries to fix, injuries to her other arm, internal injuries and injuries to her face. She has thankfully recovered enough that she was sent home on Friday. However it will still be months before she can even think of going back to work after much rehab and healing in all ways. Irish sustained much more severe injuries including a horrendous pelvis fracture where the Dr commented "the bone is about as broken as a bone can get". She will require at least 2 if not more surgeries to repare the damage to her hip including other internal and external injuries. It will be months before she is able to leave the hospital and years before she will be able to function properly and the pelvis injury will cause permanent damage.

They were both sponsored by their boss Daljit Sandhar when they immigrated to Canada from the Philippines just 4 years ago. Since they have arrived their families back home have relied on them for financial support with the ladies sending money home every paycheque. Both ladies have a child back home who they are paying tuition for so the child can go to school. They also look after their parents and relatives sending home about $1200 every month. In Calgary they have to pay rent, food, and bus fees for transit to work. Among other 'dreams' they had was to be able to get a car and license to be able to drive. Other than their boss Daljit they have no one here in Calgary in which to recieve support from.

The money that will be needed for both, even at a basic amount, will be at LEAST $50,000 for each for medical expenses, living expenses, rehab and this does not even begin to touch their family back home who are now also paralyzed and without any financial aid coming in. So really this help is needed for the entire family, not just them. These funds are needed NOW as any kind of insurance or coverage from the person who hit them will not come in for possibly months.

These women are wonderful people. I know them both personally as they work just 2 doors away from me and have conversed with them often. They are hard workers, humble, beautiful, sweet women who do not deserve this. They deserve better. They have spent their lives taking care of other people. It's time for us to take care of them. I would be so incredibly grateful to see them looked after. Any financial help will be appreciated.

Thank you so much
Blessings
