My name is Ms. Kameron Crutcher and I am the Choral and Orchestra Director at Lindley Sixth Grade Academy in Mableton, Ga. This
is my third year at LSGA and I am passionate about my student’s success in life and music.
Lindley Sixth grade Academy has been asked to participate in a performance of Songs of Inspiration & Hope - Music for Treble Voices on the DCINY Concert Series in New York City this summer! This performance will take place at Carnegie Hall under the baton of Ms. Lori Loftus from Southern California, on Sunday, June 26, 2016.
We are asking for your help in sending the LSGA Chorus to Carnegie Hall. Your donation will help with all airfare, ground transportation, hotel, food, touring, and all of the performers and chaperones registration fee for DCINY (Distinguished Concerts Singers International New York).
In 2011, I performed at the Lincoln Center and my group stayed in the hotel across from Carnegie Hall. I stated to myself as I looked out of my hotel window, " man, I wish I could step foot on that stage or at least see inside to see how great it really is.” Now, not only do I have the opportunity to be in one if the most prestigious places in the enitre world for music, but the little loves of my life get to sing on THAT STAGE.
Many of them may not ever see NYC or Carnegie Hall in their lifetime. I refuse to let their situation keep them from opportunity.
I truly love being a music educator and am thrilled at the experience that lies ahead! My dream for my students, is to understand that the sky is not the limit; there is no limit to greatness and opportunity. I hope that this opportunity will flourish and my students will be privileged to experience a new window of opportunity while being great!
