I am Allen Wood, a former cult member. I have spent much of the last 40 years working as an educator and consultant on the cult phenomenon and addiction.
I am raising money to pay for my airfare , hotel, insurance and incidentals so that I may attend the
annual conference of ICSA (The International Cultic
Studies Association) which convenes in Bordeaux France from 6/28/2017 through 7/1/2017.
I have been invited to be a presenter at the Conference.The subject and title of my presentation is :Addict, Idol and Cult Member: Reflections on the loss of Self.
I need the aforementioned sum as soon as possible to arrange bookings.
Going to this conference as a presenter will be the fulfillment of a life long dream. It will give me a powerul platform from which to share my personal and professional experience with a wide array of people impacted by extremist organizations: therapists, teachers, former cult members and their families, members of the press.
Any help you can give will place me eternally in your debt. You will have helped one man do what he can to strike a blow against a form of tyranny which seems to be on the rise throughout our world.
