Help TAC raise money for scosa!

Donation protected

We're putting the very last 'Schulzy Army' scarf, by The Alberton Crowd, to a good cause! But we need your help.

The scarf is the last one of its kind in the world! It's been signed by the man himself, Jay Schulz. We're raising money from it in support of scosa, for whom Schulz was an Ambassador for several years.

scosa is a not-for-profit organisation that provides services and assistance to hundreds of South Australians who live with disabilities.

Here's how your donation helps:

$25 will enable a group to purchase veggies and prepare a delicious home cooked community lunch.

Visiting the local supermarket or even the Central Market is a great learning experience. Those involved learn about the different vegetables, how much they cost, how to prepare them, and how to use them to make a delicious and nutritious stir-fry!

$50 will enable a group to learn how to catch public transport to the City and enjoy morning tea in a local café’ where friendships develop.

Learning to catch public transport is an invaluable life skill to help people living with disabilities to get around in the local community. Catching public transport to a café is a great way for participants to learn new skills while at the same time building new friendships. This activity also helps to build confidence, communication ability and is an important component of maintaining positive mental health.

$100 will provide a day out for eight participants from our scosa Titans group.

The Titans is comprised of a number of groups of young, enthusiastic South Australians living with autism. These groups regularly attend community events, play various sports and visit attractions such as Adelaide Oval and the Zoo, where they put into practice what they have learned about safe and appropriate behaviour in public places.  These days out also provide a great way to expend lots of energy!

$500 will support one client to be a participant in our Maximum Potential Leadership Group.

This initiative, introduced this past year, is helping to create a new breed of tomorrow’s community leaders. Through an intensive 10 month program, participants living with a wide range of disabilities are challenged to develop new life pathways by learning about current affairs, the media, advocacy, and business & marketing, while also being invited to engage in public speaking and other challenges. Each participant is also offered exciting workplace experiences and opportunities to meet with other inspiring Australians including sporting professionals, business leaders and community advocates.

If you donate, you will go in the running to receive it:

- When our minimum target of $1028 is met;
- OR, if we're smashing that target, at a suitable time during the season!
