SAVE SHIVERS the sick little cat

We got a phone call today from a friend who said he found a cat that looked like it needed some help. As we usually do we said "Of course! Lets get him to a vet and see what is going on". WELL... This cat is in bad shape. He has scabies, is extremely dehydrated, is skin and bones and he is shaking, hence the name Shivers. The vet did a feline leukemia test that came back negative. That was good news. They also did a kidney test and his kidneys are working just fine. All of this was good news, but he isn't out of the woods yet. Because of his severe dehydration and really bad ear infection and also his scabies he is having to stay in the hospital over night for possibly several days. We want to allow this cat a chance at an awesome life. He is so sweet and even though he clearly is sick, he wanted pats and to talk to you. We were not expecting this kind of expense to come into our lives at this moment. As anyone who knows us knows, we pay for these rescue animals out of our own pockets. We RARELY ask for help, but this bill is high and we really could use help. Please consider giving towards Shivers vet bill. $1, $5, $20 ANYTHING HELPS!!! Even if you think it isn't a lot... IT IS.
