Support for Sarah Nissen & Family

If you're lucky enough to know Sarah Nissen, you've been blessed. She's one of those rare people that quickly and easily touches the lives of all those who cross her path.
She has a passion for her friends (and Friends), for her work, for the MN Vikings (or maybe that's one she took on as part of her wedding vows!), for her whole family, and especially for her three amazing children and devoted, loving husband. She lights up the room with her smile and her laugh, and she somehow knows just what to say to you at the very moment you need to hear it.
And all of this is underscored by her strong faith in God, who guides her every step of the way.
So it was a shock to everyone when a bad cough turned out to be a symptom of a very rare form of cancer, Mesenchymal Chondrosarcoma. You can read about Sarah's story on her CaringBridge site.
Sarah will tell you that she is surrounded by the love of God, the angels among us and her team of prayer warriors who have been working to help her and her family through this unexpected twist in their life's journey.
And starting this GoFundMe account is just one more way we want to show our love and support for Sarah, Mark, Cade, Anna and Adelyn.
They have not asked for this, but we know the extra financial support from friends and family will help defray medical and travel expenses they will have at Altru Cancer Center and at Mayo Clinic. We also hope the dollars raised can help with everyday family needs, such as extra housekeeping services, meals and other things to help make their lives easier as Sarah undergoes intensive chemo treatments to fight her Stage 4 cancer.
If the dollars raised are not needed now, the Nissens will put the money toward future family needs, such as the children's college educations, or donate it to a charity, such as for cancer research.
So we ask for your support to help bless Sarah and her family as they navigate through this difficult time in their lives.
