Sadie's Medical Fund
Donation protected
On March 16th, 2017, just six weeks after her 2nd birthday, Sadie Allison was diagnosed with Leukemia. She was admitted to Chicago's Children's Memorial Hospital and testing began to narrow down the type of Leukemia it could be. On March 17 she under went a bone marrow biopsy, spinal tap and had a port installed for easier delivery of chemotherapy.
Sadie was diagnosed with ALL Leukemia (Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia), a cancer of the lymphocytes, a type of white blood cell involved in the body’s immune system. It is the most common type of cancer in children. When a child has ALL, the lymphoblasts fill the bone marrow and crowd out other normal cells, preventing the production of red blood cells (cells that carry oxygen to tissues), many other types of normal white blood cells (cells that fight infection), and platelets (cells that help blood to clot). It is very early in the Care Plan, but Sadie is looking at around 2 years of treatment at this point.
Sadie's mother Hailey is a single parent & works a commission based sales job. She needs to be by her daughter's side as much as possible during Sadie's treatment. They both will need strong support to get through this, emotionally and financially.
We thank you so much for your donation, which will help with medical bills, medicine and co-pays, as well as household bills and basic needs while mother and daughter tackle this together. If anyone has any questions about Sadie or her illness, please feel free to contact us.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you so much for all the love, your prayers and financial support.
