Costa Rica Medical Mission - 2016

Every year, the junior class of Shorter University's School of Nursing travels internationally, where faculty and nursing students provide nursing care to an underserved population.

This year, we are traveling to Costa Rica through a program called International Service Learning (ISL). To find out more about the goals and objectives of their nursing teams, click here. To learn more about their initiatives in Costa Rica, click here.

We will be providing nursing care through free clinics in developing communities. Part of the money we raise will be used to purchase medicine that we can give and administer free of charge for those in need. Our nursing program at Shorter is actively involved in caring for our local community, but God also calls us to serve His kingdom abroad.

Each student is responsible for roughly $3,400 to cover airfare, food, transportation, lodging, and materials. If you are willing and able, please consider supporting my fellow classmates and me financially.
