Stay Family Tragedy - Cassidy Stay Fund
6 of the 7 family members of the Stay Family were taken from our community in a horrific and violent tragedy on July 9th, 2014.
Stephen & Katie Stay along with 4 of their 5 children were lost in a horrible domestic violence event that left only their 15 year old daughter (Cassidy Stay) the sole survivor of her family. Cassidy is expected to make a full recovery and has been released from the hospital.
Cassidy not only survived the incident, but heroically after the incident was able to call 911, then give details to 1st reponders that lead to saving the lives of her grandparents and police capturing the suspect minutes later.
Employee's Harris County Water Control & Improvement District (Harris County WCID110) Parks & Recreation along with First Responders and many of our community have expressed a concern for Cassidy and the family. Cassidy will no doubt need major financial support in the future without her imediate family. (although we do not yet have all the details due to the ongoing investigation).
FROM THE CHURCH:
“As you pray for the Stay family and their loved ones, please bind yourselves to act to assist them as you feel impressed by the spirit. Cassidy and her family have significant trials and expenses ahead of them. Please be aware that the family has established a trust fund for Cassidy and her family and donations can be made at www.stayfamilyfund.org. This is the donation fund that the family wishes us to use and 100% of the funds donated via this website go to the trust account. They are very grateful for funds donated via the GoFundMe online site and that site will remain available and those funds will be transferred to the trust fund.
Thank You in advance for your loving donations and please keep the family in prayer.
I do want to give a HUGE thank you to my bosses, the 5 Board of Directors of Harris County WCID110 for allowing our club and staff to be involved and be and a collection point in our community during this tragedy.
Harris County WCID110 is not promoting, handling, endorsing, or directing the fundraising on the fundraising website. It is the personal volunteer work of Jody Dellinger, SSgt George Beck and resident Scott Hubert. The Board of Directors shares in the Community’s loss and grief and extends its condolences to the Stay family.

We have reached an amazing milestone on this fundraising site and wish to close it as we acknowledge our infinite appreciation to all who have contributed. The generosity of the local, state, national and even global community has humbled us beyond our ability to convey. At this time we hope everyone will continue to reach out to those in our various communities with the same care and love that has been shown to us.
Cassidy and our whole family thanks you for your prayers, for your notes of comfort, for the food, for the fundraising, for the rides and for all of the love. Together, you have proven that even the worst acts of one individual are swallowed up by the endless good that has been poured out by the many. Your generosity has been a source of light in these “darkest of times,” of which Cassidy spoke.
We will keep you all in our prayers and ask you keep us in yours as we go forward. Our faith and knowledge of Jesus Christ and His plan for all of us will heal all heartache. It is time for us as a family to develop a new routine, keeping our lost loved ones in our heart as we make a new path. We ask that going forward the media and others respect our family privacy and let us find our new normal. Know that we go forward profoundly strengthened by the thousands of selfless individuals who have been here with us, reached out to us, loved us and served us in these recent weeks.

Going forward, the media and others should please contact Mary Flood with any questions. She can be reached at email@example.com or 713-383-0090.
I am absolutely amazed at the outpouring of love and support that people from around the world have shown to Cassidy and her family!
NEVER, did we ever dream that the compassion would be SO great and SO strong! The human heart is absolutely shocking!
Two people (Stg Beck & myself) willing to give only about 10 minutes of our time (okay, maybe a little more than 10 minutes), to kick off this page and have it turned into THE BIGGEST gift we ever could of imagined! We only wanted to help Cassidy NEVER have to worry about the little things again after such a huge personal tragedy.
Thank you, EACH & EVERYONE of YOU! Thank you!
