Give The Gift That Lasts All Year Long!
Dear Friends,
Now in its 36th season, the Syracuse Children’s Chorus maintains a unique vision to provide an outstanding choral music education program where young people can share their joy of singing, develop musicianship, and learn to strive for excellence.
As a non-profit arts organization, we depend on the support of the community in order to carry out our mission, and we appreciate deeply those who have helped us along our journey and those who continue to support the Chorus.
We hope that you will consider sponsoring the Syracuse Children’s Chorus to help support our exciting 2016-2017 season, which includes:
• Four self-produced concerts in October, December, March, and May.
• A full-day workshop in Latin music led by Syracuse University professors Elisa and Josh Dekaney, featuring guest choristers from the Syracuse City School District and the larger community.
• Traveling to Albany to perform in the New York State Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Observance and celebrate Dr. King’s legacy with musicians, guest speakers, and community groups from around New York.
• Performing with Syracuse Symphoria in “Home for the Holidays” and “Wild Things.”
• Our City Satellite Program, which provides free choral education to students at one of the city’s most underserved elementary schools.
We thank you in anticipation of your support of the Syracuse Children’s Chorus. Donations such as these continue to be instrumental to our organization’s mission to provide quality choral music education to the young people in our community – give the gift that lasts all year!
